Join us for a private tour of this wonderful exhibition, Masters of Venice: Renaissance Painters of Passion and Power at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. The tour will take place on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Please meet at the museum at 8:45 a.m. to enjoy a cup of coffee. The tour will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
We will have the museum to ourselves and an excellent guide to tell stories and reveal the secrets of the Venetian Masters. This exclusive presentation features 50 paintings by Venetian painters Titian, Giorgione, Veronese, Tintoretto, Mantegna, and more, on loan from the Gemäldegalerie of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. This exhibit represents the range of Venetian accomplishment in Renaissance-era painting.
